Adult Ballroom Dancing

Dancing has always been an integral part of humanity and with a little patience and perseverance we can all learn to express our emotion through movement and rhythm. Come along and learn in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere to improve co-ordination, posture, interaction, rhythm and musicality. No partner required.

Ballet

Learn the foundations of ballet including the positions and lines, alignment and basic ballet steps in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The class builds poise, grace & greatly improves posture - toning & lengthening your muscles resulting in a leaner & more elegant body.

GB Pilates

GB Pilates is taken by two experienced physiotherapists qualified with the Australian Institute of Pilates. Classes are designed to improve core stablity, posture, strength & muscle tone. Beginners & intermediate classes are run over 6 week blocks.

Jazz

Jazz covers all the basic elements of jazz dance with some more complex choreography for the more experienced members. You learn kicks, turns and jumps, developing control, strength and technique in a fun & funky way. We dance to popular music from the charts and the latest films and musicals. Each half term we learn a new routine.

Modern Pilates

A workout to strengthen core muscles (stomach, back & legs) and increase flexibility. Please see Modern Pilates web page.

Pole fitness

We've taken pole dancing out of the clubs, and brought it to the gym, opening it up to everybody as a fantastic, alternative way to shape up, lose weight and get fit. Pole fitness is a total body work out that is fun and really gets results. It tones and strengthens your whole body, develops your co-ordination, improves your stamina, helps burn lots of calories and even flattens your tummy. Our pole fitness classes are friendly and supportive. You'll meet new people, have lots of fun and have a great workout. All classes run in blocks of 5 week courses. Advanced booking & payment is required.
 

Pump

Upbeat weight training with rhythm using a bar and weights. Will provide fast results!

Yoga

Nicola Candlish is a recent graduate of the Yoga Academy, one of the UK's leading yoga teacher training schools. Nicola's hatha yoga classes provide a balance of flowing postures and breathing exercises, bringing strength and flexibility to the body along with a sense of wellbeing and calmness. Nicola is also available for one-to-one tuition.

Yoga, Stretch and Pilates Conditioning

Relaxing, uplifting but challenging class to improve flexibility, posture and strength in the abdominals, back and legs. Includes both yoga and pilates moves. Classes last 80 mins.

Zumba Dance Fitness

Zumba Fitness® was created in the mid-90s by Colombian native Alberto “Beto” Perez, a celebrity fitness trainer and choreographer for International pop superstars. Inspired by the traditional cumbia, salsa, samba and merengue music he grew up with, Beto paired his favourite pulsating Latin rhythms with the red-hot international dance steps his clients loved and Zumba Fitness® (Spanish slang for “to move fast and have fun”) was born! It has become one of the fastest-growing, dance-based fitness crazes in the country, with people of all ages falling in love with its infectious music, easy-to-follow dance moves, and body-beautifying benefits.
